As Vultures Circle in the sky, it usually means that the end is near for someone or something. When death looms, time seems to be the most valuable asset we have. Many individuals hardly ever think about such things when they are young. It is usually after we becoming older and wiser that we consider our days and the impact that life has had upon us. This perspective influences many of the songs we write as a band. Our desire is not to only write killer music, but to share our lives with you. Our experiences, our challenges, our victories and even our defeats inspire the songs we create. Our hope is that some will learn from our mistakes and avoid them completely, while others may relate and be encouraged. The fact is, we are not alone in this world when all Hell breaks loose and vultures begin to circle.

IN THE BEGINNING
Great bands don’t form by accident. It takes a lot of effort and sometimes even a little magic. You could almost say that magic was in the air during the spring of 2013. A vocalist and a guitarist came together during that time to create a sound that is truly their own. Just two guys from two different worlds that shared the same passion for music. They also had a similar perspective concerning life in general that would be the cornerstone of what is now known as the band As Vultures Circle. With the addition of a solid rhythm section and great chemistry, AVC is uniquely different in a way that is rare among the other rock bands on the scene.
IN THE BAND

EARL DAVIS - vocals
This frontman began singing back in the 90’s as a youth pastor for the California Christian band LEDFOOT. With a vocal style that mirrored Brian Johnson (AC/DC) and Axl Rose (Guns & Roses) he quickly became a crowd favorite. His father's fight with cancer led him to return to the south where he set his music career down and became a pastor of a small church. After two decades of full-time ministry and an unexpected divorce in 2011 he felt the vultures circling in his own life until his faith and passion for heavy music and songwriting became a life raft by which he was able to recover his courage and carry on. This led to the birth of AVC which was formed from the ashes of shattered remains and fueled by an omnipotent desire to rise above any vulture that tries to circle over ones life.

TONY RAINWATER - lead guitar
If the skill to write bone crushing guitar riffs were a crime, then Tony Rainwater would be sentenced to life in prison. Some might say that they are a reflection of the intensity by which he lives his life. The passion he has for the music he writes has no equal among his peers and can be difficult for others to keep up with. Yet, in a day where it is hard to tell one rock band from another, Tony has chosen to lead the pack and carve out a path of sound for AVC that is truly uncommon and rare.

DENNIS HARE - rhythm guitar
If anyone was ever born with a guitar in their hand, this axe grinder truly was. DENNIS HARE, coming from a historic lineage of musicians, grew up with music in his ears on a daily basis. His father, a skilled guitarist as well, embedded in his son over many years the characteristics of what it takes to be a truly great musician. Though Dennis has the skill to be the front man of his own band, his addition has been mutually beneficial and extremely valuable to the dynamic sound that is truly AVC.

JT/JOHN THORNTON - bass
No great band can be complete without a boss on bass and John fills that description to a "JT". His massive presence in person is only outmatched by the energy he brings to the music. His excellent use of harmony and rhythm provides a very strong pulse for the heart of the Dirty Bird Nation. On stage, he is a catagory five force to be reckoned with once his instrument is plugged in and continues to facilitate the tone by which AVC is defined.

CATION DAVIS - drums
Like father, like son! Cation Davis has been a part of AVC in some fashion from the very beginning. He was actually the very first bass player for the band and stepped aside as Leon Craft filled the role. When Matt Lamarre left the drums to take an amazing promotion at his day job, Cation once again stepped up to the plate and started beating the skins like a pro. Though he has aspirations to relocate to Nashville and start his own music career in the future, he "plays" a significant role in AVC at the moment.
